FCA confirmed to provide clarity on finance at AM Hit For Six Conference
17 September 2013
AM’s highly successful Hit For Six Conference – when six key areas facing automotive retailers are covered off in one conference in one day – returns in November.
Taking place at Cedar Court, Wakefield on November 19, the conference focuses on new cars; used cars; aftersales; finance; insurance; and digital.
AM can announce it has confirmed the Financial Conduct Authority will be speaking about its new role as the UK’s consumer finance regulators at the conference.
The FCA takes responsibility for regulating consumer credit activities on April 1, 2014 and the industry currently awaits its regulation document, due this autumn.
The FCA’s Sam Stoakes will provide additional insight and guidance for motor industry personnel who need to take action over the coming months to ensure their businesses comply in advance of the takeover.
Aimed at time-poor senior managers and directors who benefit from a quick and accessible but highly informative understanding of the current market, the conference also provides an excellent way for managers and directors to gleam an overview of issues facing individual departments in the business.
It is also particularly helpful for sales, business and aftersales managers who are preparing to take on a dealer principal or general manager’s role as well as employees who provide support to the dealership as a whole such as accountancy staff, HR and marketing managers.
The Hit for Six formula proved so successful last year, AM is expecting demand for places to be high once again.
