David has extensive experience in the consumer lending, banking, credit card & internet payments industries.
A former member of LloydsTSB’s Retail Banking Board, David’s P&L responsibilities included credit cards, personal loans and overdrafts. Together these comprised one of the UK’s largest consumer lending businesses. He was also responsible for the current accounts, payments and card acquiring, and the ATM network. As a consultant, David has advised businesses in the US, Canada, South America and Europe on consumer lending business strategy and risk management.
David has global payments industry experience. He has chaired MasterCard UK, was Vice Chairman of MasterCard Europe, and sat on the LINK ATM network board. David worked for PayPal US to develop their banking strategy, and also Neovia plc, where he ran its e-wallet business in Europe and Asia Pacific. David also spend 4 years based in the US consulting on credit cards and payments strategy.
Until recently, David was a non-executive director on the ING Direct UK advisory board. He is currently a non-executive director of Payzone Group a pan European payments processing and ATM network business; a founder/director of PaySwyft which provides cloud-based electronic bill payments services in the UK, US and Australia; a founder/director of MyWorkSearch, a cloud-based business providing services to the employment sector; and is advising Itemize Corp, a US based receipts and invoice data processing company.
As the first woman in the world to compete in a World Rally, Penny is one of the most successful women rally drivers. She presents ITV’s Used Car Roadshow, Channel 4’s Driven and consumer reports for Daybreak and BBC Breakfast. She has also fronted the World Rally Championship, Accident Blackspots and Classic Car Club and is one of the few women in the world of motoring who is respected as a genuine expert.
Penny's character was no doubt shaped during her early teens, when she ran away from home and lived in hostels for homeless kids in London. She realised that to change her situation she would have to take control of her life and worked her way to becoming a sound engineer and a graphic artist. A chance event allowed her to realise her childhood dream of driving a rally car; her personal story and self development book Take Control of Your Life has received outstanding reviews.
As a qualified performance coach & sports psychologist, Penny works with large organisations, teams (including Formula 1) and world class athletes on their attitude, approach and mental performance. She takes her physical fitness very seriously and is currently training for her first Triathlon. She is also a boxer, polo player and mountaineer, recently completing a successful ascent of the north face of Europe’s highest mountain – Mount Elbrus.
Penny enjoys getting the best out of life and is keen to help others achieve this also. She is an active supporter of her two charities Barnardo’s and Crisis. She is also the founder of the Mallory Band, the unique weight loss approach that is sweeping the nation. Her sheer determination to survive on her own terms and her will to succeed at what ever she puts her mind to has enabled her to motivate and inspire others, both in business and socially.

The past few years have seen a shift in marketing towards a more data-centric approach, which motoring.co.uk have harnessed and capitalised on with their intelligent data platforms, particularly in the new car lead arena. This has culminated in partnerships with some of the UK's largest brands such as TopGear and Confused.com to extend the reach of the business beyond its own user base.
Terry's particular specialisms are in the user experience, and creating new ways to solve old problems. These skills are currently being used to build a more consumer-centric version of the motoring.co.uk site, enabling a more social and improved mobile experience for both existing and new customers. The technology involved in this build is cutting-edge, and has received Government funding via the Technology Strategy Board.

He has worked for many well-known firms in the industry including Lex, Inchcape, GMAC and Pendragon.

Adrian Foster has played a key role in the national development of F&I as we now know it. In the early 80s he was involved in the introduction of finance managers in volume car dealerships and between 1982 and 1989 worked in the showrooms of more than 150 franchised dealerships. In the 1990s, he worked at board level for two automotive PLCs and introduced finance managers into over 50 specialist car dealerships. In 1991 he was one of the first to introduce GAP insurance into the UK and in 1999 set up a division to focus on the cash for car market. For seven years he managed a finance and leasing portfolio that he built up to more than £120 million with a team of more than 30 sales people. Since the turn of the millennium his achievements have included the implementation of two sales managers development programmes -one for a dealer group and one for a prestige manufacturer, the development of a B2B trade website and the setting up of one and the closing down of another used car business. He has run BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce and Skoda dealerships as well as the world’s oldest and largest Bentley dealership.
For six years Foster has directed a national sales manager’s coaching and development programme for a major prestige manufacturer and in 2011 was a founding director of Remit Showroom Ltd. He has been a Fellow of the Motor Industry since 1995 and earned a Diploma in Automotive Retail Management (with merit) from Cardiff Business School in 2000.
